The degree of analysis depends on the scope of the planned implementation stages. For short turnaround stages, the analysis is ongoing throughout all iterations.
This step is often optional and is largely dependent on the state of your existing business processes. At a minimum, the processes identified as relevant to the implementation are documented and approved to ensure common understanding.
Here's where the rubber hits the road. The implementation phase is often broken into separate steps. This is often very useful when it is expected new information will come to light during the implementation process. These simple steps apply it's a matter of scope.
Now we need to ensure we've accomplished the goals set out in the beginning by measuring against the criteria established in the Discovery and Analysis stages.
