Acme Approach

Acme uses a flexible approach with variations to accommodate real world challenges.

To achieve rapid results with a high degree of flexibility.

Discovery

It always starts at the beginning...

  • Listen to your needs.
  • Understand your constraints.
  • Define goals and objectives.
  • Define the Scope of Work.
  • Report and verify understanding.

Analysis

The degree of analysis depends on the scope of the planned implementation stages. For short turnaround stages, the analysis is ongoing throughout all iterations.

  • Define process for implementation.
  • Prioritize goals and objectives.
  • Determine criteria for success.
  • Identify risks.
  • Report and confirm understanding.

Knowledge Engineering

This step is often optional and is largely dependent on the state of your existing business processes. At a minimum, the processes identified as relevant to the implementation are documented and approved to ensure common understanding.

  • Re-engineer processes.
  • Remodel procedures.
  • Realize stakeholder understanding.
  • Achieve consensus on new processes.
  • Report and verify assumptions.

Implementation

Here's where the rubber hits the road. The implementation phase is often broken into separate steps. This is often very useful when it is expected new information will come to light during the implementation process. These simple steps apply it's a matter of scope.

  • Document processes and procedures.
  • Install and configure systems.
  • Migrate legacy data.
  • Evaluate achievements against success criteria.
  • Produce gap analysis report detailing status.

Post Implementation

Now we need to ensure we've accomplished the goals set out in the beginning by measuring against the criteria established in the Discovery and Analysis stages.

  • Update per gap analysis report.
  • Review configurations.
  • Verify against documented processes and procedures.
  • Train the trainers.
  • Verify accurate dissemination of information.
